Entrance Ceremony

Each year level will welcome the students to their new grade level and class.

JanuaryClass Orientations

Held twice throughout the year, this is an opportunity for the teachers to talk with the parents about the focus areas for the class, their goals and how they will be supporting the children’s independence.

JanuaryChinese New Year

Celebrated with the children annually through stories and roleplay, students are exposed to the history of the celebration and how it is celebrated now.

FebruarySetsubun

Setsubun

The traditional Japanese celebration the ushers in happiness while ridding the houses of demons through a bean throwing ritual.
Celebrated with the children through stories and role play and aims to help develop the children’s global perspective and understanding. Both historical and current celebrations are learnt about.

March/AprilSports Festival

Sports Festival

The Sports Festival is a great day for both children and parents to participate in activities as a team.
Races, games and dances are just some of the exciting events that take place on the day.

March/AprilOpen Day

Open Day

This is the first Open Day of the year, providing parents with the opportunity to visit their child's class during Circle Time and see how much fun the children are having.

Vesak Day is celebrated with the children through stories and role play and aims to help develop the children’s global perspective and understanding. Both historical and current celebrations are learnt about.

MayHari Raya

Hari Raya Puasa is celebrated with the children through stories and role play and aims to help develop the children’s global perspective and understanding. Both historical and current celebrations are learnt about.

JuneSecond Class Orientations

The second opportunity for the teachers to talk with the parents about the focus areas for the class, their goals and how they will be supporting the children’s independence over the remaining 6 months in of the school year.

JuneOpen Day

Open Day

The second Open Day provides another chance for parents to come to the school and see how the children have progressed mid-year.
Parents of PG and N1 children will be able to view a second Circle Time session, while N2, K1 & K2 classes will showcase one of our activity blocs (Journal, Phonics, Numeracy, Craft, etc.).

July / August

JulyTanabata

Tanabata

Also known as the 'Star Festival' this traditional Japanese festival celebrates the yearly meeting of Orihime and Hikoboshi.
Celebrated with the children annually through stories and roleplay, students are exposed to the history of the celebration and how it is celebrated now.

AugustNational Day

National Day is celebrated in with the children to develop and instil a sense of pride in their own unique national identity.

Students celebrate their teachers and the important role they play in the shaping of the children's lives.

Children's Day

Celebrated with the national Children's Day song, the children and celebrate being a child. Children are also taught to remember children less fortunate than themselves during the celebration.

Celebrated with the children annually through stories and roleplay, students are exposed to the history of the celebration and how it is celebrated now.

Halloween Party

For Halloween, the children wear their favourite costumes and enjoy a number of fun activities within the school.

Deepavali is celebrated with the children through stories and role play and aims to help develop the children’s global perspective and understanding.

December Christmas Concert

Christmas Concert

The main event of the year, children perform songs, and act on stage. It is a special occasion for them to showcase their talents and confidence in front of an audience.
